I've been playing a bit on Xbox 360 and Xbox Live again since Operation Flashpoint - Dragon Rising and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 came out recently.  One thing is clear.  If you don't spend enough time honing your skills, things are not going to go well.  In short: "I suck at this!", is probably the best description I can give....

I do ok on the (off-line) single player missions (both games) ... on the 'medium' setting.... although I haven't completed either of them yet.  The missions on Operation Flashpoint are quite long and reasonably challenging. 

Online, it's another story.  Most of the time I am somewhere near the bottom of the scoreboard...  Every now and then I have a reasonably good run, if I get a decent connection and everything goes my way.  The only statistics that work in my favour (on my friends list) is my accuracy.  So, while I don't hit a lot of targets (spend most of my time re-spawning), when I do shoot, I waste less ammo than most of my friends....  however, I'm ranked somewhere below 2.000.000 on the overal scoreboard on Modern Warfare 2, so I won't be breaking any records any time soon!

I'm getting better at it... slowly.  I guess the old hand-eye coordination thing just doesn't work as well as it used to.  Some of my friends are "shooting up" in rank and leaving me for "dead"....

Oh well, it's just a game.
